This course will also allow the candidates to be able to teach Childcare First Aid and Marine First Aid. With self-study programs the candidate can also be certified to teach Babysitting, Peoplesavers and other Red Cross Programs.
Note:
Instructor candidates will be required to complete 3 assignments to reinforce the learning process.
Adequate skills performance is an expectation of the Instructor Transfer course.
When the class component is complete, a co-teach will be required.
Pre-requisite:
18 years of age
Certified in current CPR-HCP level or higher.
One of the following:
Proof of current First Aid Instructor with another recognized organization
Proof of current CPR Instructor certification with another recognized organization
Current Red Cross WSI certification plus SFA with CPR-HCP or equivalent
Red Cross First Aid Instructor whose certification has been expired for tow years or more but less than seven years
Be a teacher with an Education Degree and teaching experience, together with current SFA/CPR-HCP certification.
